Based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, he is a pharmaceutical scientist, academician, researcher, and currently serves as the Dean & Principal of the School of Pharmacy and Director of IQAC at YBN University.
Born on 25 January 1985 in Panna, Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Sarkar has built a distinguished career in pharmaceutical sciences through research, teaching, academic leadership, and institutional development.

Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Sarkar pursued his academic journey in pharmacy with remarkable dedication. He completed his B.Pharm, followed by an M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with outstanding academic performance, and later earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacy focusing on phytochemical investigation and anti-arthritic research.
Alongside pharmaceutical sciences, he also completed an MBA in HR & IT and an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications, reflecting his multidisciplinary approach toward education and leadership.

With more than 18 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Sarkar has served in various prestigious institutions across India before joining YBN University, Ranchi.
