A Strong Foundation

Dharamvir's early education began in his native village, where his curiosity for learning started taking shape. He later studied at Sainik School Ghorakhal, Nainital, one of India's renowned residential schools, before completing his graduation from Kumaun University, Nainital.

Although science became an important part of his professional career, his love for literature and poetry continued to grow alongside it. Eventually, education and writing became two powerful ways through which he could connect with and inspire people.

During his career, he has served in several academic and administrative roles, including Academic Coordinator, CBSE Examination Deputy Superintendent, Examination Head, Science Olympiad Coordinator, Student Counsellor and Mentor.

His teaching philosophy focuses on making students active participants in the learning process. He has adopted approaches such as collaborative learning, flipped classrooms, experiential learning and technology-enabled teaching to encourage creativity, communication and critical thinking.

Dharamvir Kumar Tyagi's contributions to education and literature have earned him several national and international recognitions.

His honours include the Teacher of the Year Award, Best Science Teacher Award, National Pride Award, 21st Century Emily Dickinson Award, Best Pensmith Award, International Teacher Excellence Award 2025 by TretaYug Foundation, Mahatma Gandhi Excellence Service Award 2026 and Sahitya Seva Ratan Samman 2026.
