Kiran Thakur is an educationist, NCC achiever, badminton player, freelancer, and aspiring author whose journey reflects determination, discipline, continuous learning, and a passion for achieving excellence.

Born in Chandigarh, Kiran spent an important part of her early educational journey in the village of Hoshiarpur, where she continued her education and developed a strong foundation for her future journey. Her experiences of growing up and studying in a village environment helped her understand the value of education, hard work, simplicity, and perseverance.

From an early stage, she developed a strong interest in academics as well as extracurricular activities. Her dedication towards education helped her maintain good academic excellence throughout her studies.

After completing her initial education, she continued her academic journey in Punjab. She pursued her Post Graduation in Geography from a college in Ludhiana and later completed her Post Graduation in English Literature. Her academic journey did not stop there. With a desire to expand her knowledge and understand administration and public service more deeply, she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration.

NCC – A Journey of Discipline and Leadership

One of the significant milestones in Kiran Thakur’s journey has been her association with the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Her dedication, discipline, leadership, and commitment earned her the prestigious recognition of NCC Best Cadet.

NCC played an important role in shaping her personality. It helped her develop confidence, leadership qualities, discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and the courage to take on challenges.

Her dedication towards serving the nation also motivated her to pursue a career connected with the defence services. She successfully cracked the CDS examination and went on to face the SSB interview at Bhopal.

This experience became an important part of her personal and professional growth. It strengthened her determination and taught her to face challenging situations with confidence and perseverance.

Kiran is currently associated with the field of education as an Educationist and Freelancer in Punjab.

She believes that education is one of the strongest tools for personal growth and social development. Her own educational journey—from her early years of education in the village of Hoshiarpur to higher education in Punjab—has strengthened her belief in the transformative power of learning.

Her academic background in Geography and English Literature, along with her ongoing studies in Public Administration, gives her a diverse academic perspective.

She has achieved notable success at different levels, including District First, Zonal First, and college-level achievements.

A Passion for Writing

Beyond education, sports and professional activities, Kiran Thakur has a deep creative side.

Writing is one of her favourite hobbies, and she enjoys expressing her thoughts through poetry, articles and creative writing.

For her, writing is not just a hobby but also a way to express ideas, emotions, experiences and observations. Her interest in English Literature and creative expression has encouraged her to take her passion for writing to the next level.

She is currently working towards publishing her own book in the near future, which will be another important milestone in her journey as a writer.
